HiRez Expo 2017 Recap
From January 5th to January 8th, 2017, I went with three of my closest friends to experience HiRez Expo 2017. The 12 hour drive to get to the convention was long, and grueling, but it was worth it. While there, we got to experience the Smite World Championships for PC and XBox, and the Paladins open. After many hard-fought games, Team NRG took the trophy of the PC world championship, while Team Burrito claimed the Paladins open, and Team Eager took the Xbox championship. The staff at HiRez was more than excited to have us, and showered us with all kinds of thank you items, including (but not limited to) three HiRez related tee shirts, free food at the convention, a free Paladin’s skin pack, a beta key to Smite Tactics, and we were even allowed to play Smite Rivals (HiRez’s new upcoming mobile game which is reminiscent to Clash Royale), and the new Clash map and God, the Morrigan, in Smite, before the general public. All in all, the HiRez Expo was a fun, and enjoyable experience. While there, we all felt that HiRez really cared for their fans, and I cannot wait to go back next year if I am given the opportunity. Congratulations to all of the winners of the tournament, and thank you, HiRez Studios for all of your generosity. Look for Smite Rivals on the app store soon!
