Stan Lee to attend Comicpalooza

Update: EXCELSIOR! Stan “The Man” Lee has been moved to 7:00PM on Friday, May 23.

This year’s Texas International Comic Convention (Comicpalooza), held at the George Brown Convention Center, expands to four days and includes more than 1,000 hours of programing including seminars, workshops, demonstrations, performances and sporting matches. Topics include science fiction, fantasy, horror, anime, film, video gaming, collectibles, costuming, literature, paranormal, steampunk and music.

Stan Lee, will appear at the fourth annual Comicpalooza, set for Memorial Day weekend, May 23 – May 26. The creator or co-creator of hundreds of comic book characters, Lee is most noted for working on Spider-Man, the Hulk, Iron Man, Thor and the X-Men of the Marvel Comics universe.

This will be Stan Lee’s first time appearing at Comicpalooza, and he has agreed to host a panel discussion covering his beginnings at Timely Comics and his inevitable rise to become one of the most prominent voices in comics today. This is a chance for fans to ask the Generalissimo questions and gain insight into the world of Marvel Comics. EXCELSIOR! Stan “The Man” Lee will be held from 3:00PM to 4:00PM on Friday, May 23 in Hall A on the third level of the George R. Brown Convention Center.

Also, join Brian K. McCarthy, Dan Price, and Bonn Adame as they discuss literacy through comics during the Stan Lee Foundation Promoting Literacy discussion panel. The event begins Saturday, May 24 at 3:00PM and will be held on the third level of the George R. Brown Convention Center in Panel Room 16, also listed as room 372 B.
